Background

Space suits are built to protect against many different things because they have many layers. Astronauts on the International Space Station have a different type of suit than Moonwalking astronauts because the astronauts on the International Space Station have to be free-floating in space. Moonwalking astronauts will have to deal with dust, so NASA has designed a “suitport” that attaches to the outside of a rover. The suit is attached to the outside of a rover, and the astronaut crawls into the suitport from the inside so the dust stays only on the outside.
