STEM Night Activity: Water in the Solar System

Learners play a game of cards to learn about water in the solar system. Note that this activity is an adaptation of activities from the Water in Extreme Environments Science Curriculum. It is intended for use at a booth at family nights, STEM Events, Fairs, etc. It has material that is repeated from the curriculum.

Setup: Prep Time 15 min

  • Print educator directions and Learner Handout. Assemble listed materials and set up on a table.

  • Water can be found in many forms and places in the Solar System, besides Earth
  • Water is an important resource for living things, human endeavors, and scientific studies.
  • NASA studies where there might be life on other planets, where water might be available for robotic and human missions, and many other aspects related to the formation and objects in the Solar System.
